Step outline of story

The video starts off with a title sequence

It fades out and a 360° tracking shot of a handbag fades in

Music is playing throughout

the handbag will freeze when its centred on screen.

The camera will swiftly zoom to the magnetic device and show the 6 lights lit up one will be red

The next shot will de-saturate the rest of the screen and highlight the red light

A circle will appear around the light and it will speak “Keys are missing from bag”

An animated line will pull out from the bag and the camera will follow it. It will stop and a another circle will be drawn and the keys will appear

Another line will move downwards and stop, a smart device will appear and it will zoom in and show the steps through the app that is connected to the handbag

The app will show the following steps:

1.    App is selected and opens

2.    Welcome screen appears

3.    Screen will show a replica of the lights and when you touch each one it will bring up    another screen with the details

4.    Detailed screen will include:

·      The name of the item

·      Options to rename or change the item

·      “Locate” the item (map will appear)

·      Status of the item (whether or not the item is in the bag)

·      “Go Back” button

The screen will show the “locate” option being selected and it will take it to an animated map of the whereabouts of the item.

Another style of handbag will appear and have the same 360° shot; only the flap or zip of the bag will be open.

The camera will zoom in on the bag and a digital timer will appear counting down from a specified time until the bag closes automatically

There will also be a settings option in the app where you can control the time limit and security of the device.

The device is portable and magnetically connects to any handbag and you can sync the device through the app

                                   

                                            

Promotional Film

So the plan is to create/develop an idea we have, in terms of a product, to solve the issues that were raised in the briefs. As I am doing the handbag brief I want to keep my film quite stylized and modern, something that will appeal to the audience and make them want to buy the bag. I don’t want any voice over or acting I want it to be about the product and how it works. I done some research on promotional videos and found a few that I liked and in the style that I want mine to look like

Initial Ideas

Following our work from the first semester, we were given a set of briefs that were collected from the information that the majority of the group found out. 

HOMES/POCKETS/BAGS/KEYS/COMPUTERS - these were the main subjects that were looked at and stood out throughout the task. I personally have an issue on my handbag so i wrote a brief for this and will be basing my final project on this.

The Problem - I constantly have an issue with my handbag. Where is it? Whats in it? Is it closed? surely there has to be a simple solution or device that puts my mind at rest so i don't have to constantly worry and check.
